These are exciting times in Living Lab and end-user engagement field, driven by continuous development of new Living Labs, new methodologies and new research concepts. Living Labs can be applied to many different fields and therefore the scope of the conference is wide and the programme is jam packed.

Participants will be welcomed at the registration desk at the entrance of the Music Hall M2 building. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided.

Fernando Vilariño (Chairman of the European Network of Living Labs), Panagiotis Bamidis (Assoc. Prof., Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and Konstantinos Zervas (Mayor of Thessaloniki) will welcome the participants in the opening panel.

KEYNOTE

Keynote speaker, Maria Rosaria Ceccarelli (Chief, Trade Facilitation Section – United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) will address the participants.

Sami Mahroum (Director of Research & Strategy at the Dubai Future Foundation) will moderate the discussion between the following high-level panelists: Svetoslav Mihaylov (European Commission – DG Connect), Simon Bensasson (OK!Thess President), Patrik Kolar (Head of Department ‘LIFE and H2020 Energy, Environment, Resources’ in the EU Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), Jean-François Aguinaga (Head of Unit D2 Future Urban and Mobility Systems – DG RTD) and Seth Schultz (Founder/CEO at Urban Breakthroughs).

Social Dinner at Polis Convention Center. Located just outside of Thessaloniki, we will have a view of the city and the Aegean sea. On the arrival to the dinner venue, you will be greeted with a welcome cocktail. Participants who want to attend the Social Dinner need to buy a ticket beforehand. Transport will be organised from the venue and back to the city after the dinner has ended.
