Garden Talks are 20-minute unplugged presentations and conversations in a relaxed outdoor setting designed to encourage dialogue, reflection, and spontaneous exchange. Away from screens and presentations, they offer a refreshing alternative to traditional conference sessions and create a more intimate space for direct interaction between speakers and participants.
Hosted under the garden pavilion, Garden Talks bring together Living Lab practitioners, researchers, innovators, and community leaders to share experiences, discuss challenges, and spark meaningful conversations in an informal atmosphere.
Whether presenting a project, sharing an experience, or provoking discussion around a key challenge, Garden Talks are designed to inspire new ideas, connections, and collaborations.
Garden Tools
Explore. Experience. Play.
Located alongside the Garden Talks area, Garden Tools is a dedicated outdoor space for experimenting with games and gamification. Discover and try out board games and other games used to demonstrate findings of Living Labs and innovation practitioners.
The space offers hands-on opportunities to learn, exchange experiences, and explore playful approaches that can be applied in different Living Lab contexts. These games bring learning by doing to life.
Designed as an informal experimentation area, Garden Tools encourages peer learning, exchange of practices, and the discovery of approaches that participants can bring back to their own Living Labs and organisations.
Bring your own game. If you have a game you would like to test with fellow participants, bring it along, you can sign up for the Garden Tools open space.

Want to play a board game, share an idea, or test an innovative tool?
Together, Garden Talks and Garden Tools transform the outdoor terrace into a vibrant space for conversation, experimentation, and collaboration, bringing the Living Lab spirit beyond the conference rooms. The garden will also be accessible to the public, creating an opportunity to engage with people who might not otherwise experience OLLD.
Both Garden Talks and Garden Tools will be available for on-the-spot bookings throughout the conference, giving participants the opportunity to create their own moments of exchange, experimentation, and engagement in an informal outdoor setting. You can book in advance by writing to OLLD@enoll.org, or sign up on the spot throughout the conference.
