What if your next great Living Lab conversation happens outside the conference room?
At OpenLivingLab Days 2026, we’re creating a relaxed outdoor space where people can step away from screens, play, exchange ideas, and connect in a more informal setting. Welcome to the Garden Talks and Tools.
Under the historic courtyard, Garden Talks will bring Living Lab practitioners, researchers, innovators, and community leaders together for 20-minute unplugged sessions. No slides and screens, just stories, ideas, challenges, and conversations designed to spark reflection and spontaneous exchange.
Alongside the talks, Garden Tools offers a dedicated space to experiment with games and gamification approaches used by Living Labs and innovation practitioners. Come and play, test different game-based approaches, explore how gamification can support engagement and participation, and exchange experiences with peers. While other tools and methodologies will be explored through the conference workshops, the Garden Tools space puts games and gamification centre stage.
And there’s another reason to step into the garden: the area will be accessible to the public, creating an opportunity to bring Living Lab ideas beyond the conference and engage with people who might not otherwise experience OLLD.
Both Garden Talks and Garden Tools will take place during coffee and lunch breaks, making it easy to step outside, recharge and enjoy a different kind of conference experience. You can simply drop by and join a conversation or game that catches your interest.
Are you a speaker or have a game you’d like to share? You can get in touch with us in advance at OLLD@enoll.org to take part in the Garden Talks or Garden Tools programme, or sign up on the spot at the conference if you’d like to contribute.
