Dr. Roger Bär is a Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), University of Bern, Switzerland. His work centers on sustainable development, with a particular focus on the management of protected areas, monitoring and evaluation, energy, and sustainable well-being. He is actively involved in transdisciplinary research, contributing to projects such as the SWEET Lantern initiative and the sustainability monitoring of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site bridging academic research with practical applications in living labs and protected areas.
