Nancy Azevedo
Coordinator, Feil & Oberfeld JRH-CRIR Research Centre
Nancy Azevedo is the coordinator of the Feil & Oberfeld JRH-CRIR research centre and was the research coordinator for the Montreal branch of the VITALISE Living Lab project. She completed a BA in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics followed by a PhD in Rehabilitation Science at McGill University. Since obtaining her diploma, her interest in the Living Lab approach has grown and her research programme has been guided by the desire to transfer research techniques from the laboratory to the real world and to bring real-world problems to the laboratory.
Nancy’s research interests mainly focus on 1) lexical access and representation across the adult lifespan and in individuals with post-stroke aphasia and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and 2) on better understanding how to make public spaces, such as museums, more accessible to people with various limitations.
