Dolf Nijsen

Dolf Nijsen is a lecturer, facilitator, researcher and trainer at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. His work focuses on collaboration in complex societal challenges, with a particular interest in uncertainty, change and transformation processes. Drawing on systemic approaches, dialogical practice and relational perspectives, he explores how professionals can work more consciously within complex multi-actor ecosystems.
Dolf has extensive experience as a boundary crosser and facilitator in both national and international Living Labs, where he supports collaboration across organizational, disciplinary and societal boundaries. He is actively involved in practice-based research on professional roles, relational dynamics and systemic change, and advises on bridge building in Living Labs.
As a trainer within the Fontys Bridging Professionals programme, he has contributed to the development of professionals who operate at the interface of research, education, policy and practice. His workshops create reflective learning spaces that help participants navigate complexity, build meaningful relationships and strengthen collaborative impact.
