TRACK 5: Living Labs Operations, Methods, Tools, and Impact

Description

This 90-minute hands-on workshop is designed for Living Lab managers and anyone involved in Living Lab initiatives who want to sharpen their stakeholder engagement skills. Through practical exercises and collaborative tools, participants will learn how to identify, prioritise, and engage stakeholders more effectively in the co-creation process. The session combines real-life examples, group work, and actionable takeaways—including a ready-to-use template tailored for Living Lab contexts.

09:00 – 09:15 The session begins with a welcome and framing segment, introducing participants to the objectives and format of the workshop. Followed by a presentation on stakeholder management fundamentals, including key tools and concepts, that participants can take with them after the session.  
09:15 – 09:35 Participants will engage in a stakeholder mapping exercise in small groups, identifying key actors relevant to their projects.   
09:35 – 09:55 Participants will choose one type of stakeholder and work on a Current vs. Desired board as well as an influence/interest matrix. 
09:55 – 10:15 Groups will begin drafting a basic engagement plan, considering risks, opportunities, actions, and communication strategies. 
10:15 – 10:30 Participants will conduct a gallery walk to review each other’s work and engage in a wrap-up discussion to identify key takeaways and applications.
