Trui Steen is Director of the KU Leuven Public Governance Institute, Belgium, and Full Professor of Public Governance and Citizen Co-Production of Public Services. She has a background in Public Administration, Sociology and Business Engineering. Trui Steen is interested in innovations in governance and democracy. She studies the interaction between public service professionals and citizens in co-creating and coproducing public services, conditions for collaborative innovation, and knowledge coproduction. She co-founded in international network on ‘Citizen Co-creation and Coproduction of Public Services’, and co-edited the Routledge volume ‘Co-Production and Co-Creation: Engaging Citizens in Public Services’.
