Lie Kerremans
Researcher at LiCalab Care Living LabLie Kerremans holds a bachelor's degree in office management with a major in Medical Management Assistance/Health Care Management and a Master's degree in Health Care Management and Policy. She also completed specific teacher training in Health Sciences at KU Leuven. Lie has a passion for optimising care by bringing together medical, organisational and technical elements with an eye for all parties involved. She previously worked on several implementation projects in the hospital sector and has been a researcher at LiCalab since 2023. She is also a lecturer on the Health Care Management course where she shares her expertise in data management and project management.

Sascha Vermeylen
Panel manager & Researcher at LiCalabSascha holds a Master’s degree in social economic sciences from University of Antwerp. Since 2018, she’s a panel manager and researcher at LiCalab (living and care lab) at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Belgium. LiCalab focuses on health technology and new collaborative models in health by applying user-centric research. Sascha manages the LiCalab panel and maintains the panel database, following GDPR. This panel consists of ca 1.500 elderly and over 600 caregivers and care organizations. In addition, she is responsible for the operational side of the living lab activities, such as setting up co-creation sessions, real life testing, human factor studies and surveys.
Femke Drijkoningen

Femke Drijkoningen
Researcher at LiCalabFemke obtained her master's degree in Psychological Sciences at KU Leuven with distinction. Since 2024, she has been working as a researcher at the care research lab LiCalab at Thomas More University, where she conducts practice-oriented research with a focus on projects on care innovation and technology. Her experience in the healthcare sector adds valuable insights to the research and provides a practical perspective. Within LiCalab, Femke is involved in a variety of tasks, from drafting questionnaires and supporting co-creation sessions, to analysing research data and drafting (scientific) reports. In addition, she holds a Good Clinical Practice certificate and continues to continuously hone her knowledge through training in (qualitative) research.
