Call for Sessions at OpenLivingLab Days 2024

“LIVING LABS FRONTIERS: Driving systemic change through Soci(et)al Engagement, for real impact.“
Are you passionate about Living Labs and how they’re reshaping society? We want to hear your ideas! We’re on the lookout for engaging session proposals for the OpenLivingLab Days conference in Timisoara, Romania, happening from September 25-27, 2024. We’re particularly interested in sessions that:
- Bring different viewpoints and expertise on a specific topic.
- Engage speakers in insightful discussions.
- Inform, educate, encourage critical thinking, or influence the audience.
- Produce outcomes for participants.
Theme and tracks:
Based on the theme of the conference, you are encouraged to show special consideration to the tracks when applying for a session. More information on the subtopics can be found here:
- Living Labs for Grand Societal Challenges
- Living Labs for Policies, Governance, collaboration and innovation ecosystems
- Living Labs for Inclusive Soci(et)al Engagement
- Living Labs for Business and Emerging Technology
- Living Labs Operation, Methods, Tools, and Impact
Requirements & Key Information:
- Duration: 75 minutes
- Submission: Apply online
- Format: Choose roundtable discussion or topic debate
- Connection to Conference: Explain how your topic fits the conference theme and tracks
- ENoLL Involvement: Include any links to ENoLL Working Groups or Action Oriented Task Forces
- Description: Describe the session’s scope, goals, and what attendees will gain
- Audience: Specify the target audience
- Moderator: Suggest a moderator
- Speakers: Propose speakers and their expertise or subtopics
- Agenda: Provide a preliminary agenda
Benefits of organizing a session:
- Opportunity to lead meaningful discussions on pressing issues and/or topics.
- Expand your network and connect with professionals in the Living Lab sphere.
- Share your expertise and knowledge with a broad audience.

Evaluation Criteria:
We are looking for awakening and well-designed sessions that contribute to the advancement of Living Labs.
Session proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
These criteria encompass the quality and clarity of the proposed idea, the relevance of the topic and its ability to stimulate in-depth discussions, the breadth of the topic and the diversity of speakers, and the session’s delivery method, which should emphasize the dissemination of research, work, or innovations rather than promoting specific entities or projects.
The proposals that achieve the highest evaluation scores across these dimensions will be selected for inclusion in the OLLD24 program.
Sessions should focus on relevant results, impact or advancing key topics within ENoLL. Sessions focusing only on an individual project will be rejected.
Additional factors considered (may not be explicitly weighted):
- Synergies among projects that deal with similar topics.
- Collaboration between ENoLL members and external stakeholders.
The session will be evaluated internally, and the feedback will be communicated by 16th of May, 2024.
