Georgios Kleftodimos

Georgios Kleftodimos is an Associate Professor at CIHEAM Montpellier, specializing in the economic valuation of pollination services and agri-environmental policy. His research integrates ecological complexity into bio-economic models to support sustainable transitions in agriculture. He has contributed extensively to EU-funded projects addressing pollinator decline, including RESTPOLL,
BUTTERFLY, and the new ProPolSoil initiative, which investigates pollinator-soil interactions and ecosystem health. As a lead expert for ANSES (France’s National Agency for food and environmental safety), he provides scientific guidance on pollination and ecosystem services. Georgios holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toulouse and coordinates the DIONYSUS project on WEFE Nexus resilience in the Mediterranean.
