Sociologist, 10 years of experience in regional policy and innovation policy planning & implementation. Graduated from Jagiellonian University, studied also one year at Humboldt University Berlin. After his studies he worked at Tischner European University, teaching sociology, conducting research (incl. R&D commercialization) projects and coordinating the International Office.
In 2012-2015 as Director of Development Department in Krakow Technology Park, he coordinated and supervised tasks in the area of innovation support, technology incubator, brokerage, industry support (ICT, gamedev, smart city) at national and international level, cluster development.
Active member of European networks bodies including IASP, EBN, ENoLL, SOOIPP. Involved in preparation and submission of several international projects to Interreg, Erasmus+, Horizon 2020 and many projects on regional and national level addressed to strengthen the effective development of Małopolska’s modern economy in the area of open innovation. Deeply involved in awareness raising for innovation methodologies and positioning living lab methodology, design thinking and user driven innovation to improve products or services offered by start-ups and SMEs by testing, validating and communicating approaches to make living lab methodology an integral part of efficient value within the public sector and SMEs. Supervisor of 10 + projects undertaken within Krakow Living Lab.
Since January 2016 as CEO of the Krakow Technology Park he is responsible for the overall management of company operations in the field of technology park and a special economic zone, including the supervision and cooperation with two related seed capital funds. He is also responsible for maintaining KPT strategic relationships with universities and research and development entities. Co-author of many expert opinions and research reports in the field of education, regional development and innovation policy.
Used to work in a couple of think-tanks dealing with public policy, both planning and evaluation. In 2011 and 2012 advisor to the Polish Minister on Justice in the field of deregulation and to the Malopolska province Marshal in the field of regional policy. Co-coordinates SMART_KOM project, a great fan of more- and less- tech oriented smart city solutions.
