The second day of the conference with begin an inspirational talk by Jeff Cherry, founder of The Porter Group and Founder & Executive director of Consious Venture Lab. He will share his insights about left and right brain thinking for problem solving, business creation and investing ideas, as well as asking the right questions.
15 years of ENoLL
ENoLL celebrates this year the 15 years from the foundation. We have invited the former and actual Presidents of ENoLL to reflect on the Living Lab evolution in the past years and to have an outlook towards the future.
We will have the pleasure to have a discussion with Jarmo Eskelinen, Tuja Hirvikoski, Fernando Vilariño and Evdokimos Kostantinidis. The session will be moderated by ENoLL’s Director, Martina Desole.

Jeff has a unique combination of C-Suite experience and a startup entrepreneur's DNA. President, European Network of Living Labs, Thess-AHALL Researcher,Dr Evdokimos Konstantinidis is the leader of the Assistive Technologies and Silver Science Research Group in the Lab of Medical Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received the Diploma in electronic engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree in medical informatics in 2008 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the Ph.D. degree in the Laboratory of Medical Physics of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2015. His research interests lie predominately in the area of medical informatics, particularly within assistive technologies (silverscience, silvergaming, mobile health)

Prof. Fernando Vilariño is Associate Director of the Computer Vision Centre and Associate Professor of the Univ. Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. He is currently lecturing in Robotics and Multimedia Systems. His research has been linked to diverse areas of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, and Robotics. His current research is focused on the development of the link between physical and digital objects. He has led different projects related to citizen science through the implementation of a model for Living Labs in the context of Open Innovation. He has participated in the different workshops and invited talks in the context of ICT and culture. Dr. Vilariño has been awarded with the Spanish Gov. Ramon y Cajal Grant (2010), and Google Academy Award (2014) for his research. As Associate Director for the CVC he has contributed to the technology transfer of Computer Vision technology with setup of a number of start-ups in the field of Machine Learning and Computer Vision. He is co-leading the implementation of the Regional Computer Vision Ecosystem, the regional economic driver of AI. He has developed a model for innovation based on living labs that allows for multi-stake holder user centric approach. Fernando Vilariño is the current Chairman of the European Network of Living Labs.

Emerita president of ENoLL holding a PhD in Industrial Management (Innovation and Innovation Ecosystem relationship)Dr. Tuija Hirvikovski, emerita president of ENoLL has received a Ph.D. in Industrial Management (Innovation and Innovation Ecosystem relationship). Hirvikoski has held various managerial positions at different Finnish higher education institutions and governmental institutions focusing on sustainable regional and societal development such as being a long-term Vice-President of Laurea. She has contributed to the development of several EU funded RDI projects particularly in the field of holistic and citizen-driven service innovation, eHealth and Wellbeing, Smart Citizens and Entrepreneurship. Hirvikoski represents Laurea in national and international organizations such as Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Coordinating Committee, ENoLL, Committee of the Regions, EC OSPP, Sendai-Finland Wellbeing Centre and an invited expert on the EC European University Vision 2030 group. In 2016, she was rewarded with the international Innovation Luminary Award.

Director, European Network of Living LabsMartina has 20 years of experience in the international public sphere, working especially in R&D policy orientation, public engagement, advocacy and science diplomacy with the European Commission and Ministries and Funding Agencies in 15+ extra-European Countries. She has been Head of Unit for International Cooperation and Innovation in APRE – Agency for the Promotion of the European Research, managing and coordinating more than 15 International Cooperation projects and has been appointed National Contact Point for Industrial Technologies since the Sixth Framework Programme till Horizon 2020. She has been the coordinator of the ERACAN Platform and of the EU- Canada Programme Level Cooperation Task Force. She has a degree in International Law, a post graduate in European Policies and a Second Level Master in Global Environmental Policies.
