Jesús Alquézar is policy officer at the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) of the European Commission, where he deals with resource efficiency, environment and climate action issues. He has a long experience as socio-economic analyst in fields like research and innovation (European Commission, European Research Council), education and training (European Commission, European Training Foundation, Eurydice) or quantitative social research (Eurobarometers, Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas). His fields of expertise include also labour market analysis, migration and international trade. He is co-author of some books and papers in those fields. He holds two 5-year degrees on Sociology and Political Sciences, and on Economy, as well as post-graduate diplomas on statistics applied to social sciences and on European politics.
