This fun and interactive session will show you how to use co-creation and co-design games to develop your capacity building programmes and Living Lab projects throughout the meso level in the Living Lab Integrative Process.
Play the games together with practitioners in the energy and environmental sector, while hearing about use cases and examples of ongoing projects to drive positive energy neighborhoods, sustainable buildings and districts, and climate plans.

Senior Academic Associate at the University of Applied Science of Western SwitzerlandValentino Piana is Senior Academic Associate at the University of Applied Science of Western Switzerland at the Institute of Sustainable Energy. IPCC reviewer, climate economist, he is the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Manager of the Lantern project – a major effort by Living Labs and applied researchers in 17 institutions to impact energy-related lifestyles. After graduating at Bocconi University (Milan - Italy) in 1994, he taught at the University of Economics in Cracow (Poland) such disciplines as Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. From 2000 to 2008 he was Senior consultant at a strategic consulting boutique firm in Rome (Italy). Since year 2000 he has been leading the Economics Web Institute, providing support to policymakers on a large number of issues. In February 2018 he joined the HES-SO Valais-Wallis.

Anastasia Ponomareva
Innovation manager and Urban planner, Research Collaborator in Energy Living Lab, HES-SOAnastasia Ponomareva is working as a Research Collaborator and Project manager at the Higher School of Applied Sciences in Western Switzerland. She is currently involved in multiple international R&D projects developing the Living Lab methodology and tools and disseminating them around the world (oPEN Lab, 2ISECAP, Cellular), as well as working on national programmes of Sustainable & Smart city development. Anastasia has a background in strategic Urban Planning and Innovation Management and experience in creating strategies and action plans for sustainable urban development, as well as developing and implementing digital urban services and platforms for cities of different scales, using a participatory approach. Interested in the Living Lab methodology and sustainable energy and urban transitions, her current role as a part of the Energy Living Lab team is to provide a connection between the Living Lab approach and the interdisciplinary environment of different actors.
