Dr. Chen is the deputy director of IDEAS Institute at Institute for Information Industry (III), Taiwan. Before joining III in early 2006, she worked for National Health Research Institute, Department of Health, and biotech companies. She is the leader of the IT group in Taiwan Biobank Project, and has more than 20 years of research experience of ICT applications in public health promotion.
Dr. Chen received a B.Sc. degree from the National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1993; M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from School of Public Health in Harvard University, USA in 1995 and 1998, respectively. Her areas of expertise include Living Lab methodology and service validation, health promotion with ICT applications, smart living technologies, and smart cities/intelligent park planning. She currently serves as project leaders situated in the domains of smart city/intelligent park planning, and smart gym/fitness development.
